Tatiana Berman is described by The Strad as “a young violinist with a mature and compelling musical personality.” She performs a broad range of solo repertoire, as well as a variety of chamber music.

 

Most recently Tatiana took part in the International Musicians Seminar, performing in concert with Steven Isserlis. She has also made her critically acclaimed debut with the St. Petersburg Academic Orchestra conducted by Paavo Jarvi and Spartanburg Philharmonic with Sarah Ioannides.

 

In the USA, Tatiana made her U.S. recital debut to a capacity audience at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Kentucky. Since then, she has become a member of the Concert:nova ensemble, and played chamber music at the Linton Chamber Music Series in Cincinnati.

 

Tatiana has appeared at the Oistrakh Festival in Estonia and in the UK, at the Wigmore Hall, St. James’ Piccadilly, Royal Festival Hall, Leighton House, and Southwark Cathedral as part of the London Arts, Buxton and Brighton Festivals. She was a soloist with the London Musici and RCM Sinfonietta in London.

 

Tatiana is the recipient of the Manoug Parikian, Sidney Perry, Ian Fleming and Myra Hess Awards in London. She has appeared on the cover of Musical Opinion magazine and is a featured soloist on the 1996 Classic FM CD Yehudi Menuhin's Young Virtuosi.

Born in Moscow, Tatiana began her studies at the age of five at the St. Petersburg Specialized Music School. In 1992, Tatiana was a prize winner in the International Violin Competition in Kloster-Schöntal, Germany. She then continued to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Yehudi Menuhin and Natalia Boyarsky and later at the Royal College of Music in London with Yossi Zivoni. She has also performed with the London Musici, RCM Sinfonietta in London and the Yehudi Menuhin School orchestras across the UK and Switzerland.
